PET Photographer
My love for photography all started because of my dog Fitz. He was my first dog, and he quickly became my whole world. I loved doing everything with him, and together we discovered the world of dog sports. We had the best time together and I treasured every photo someone took of the two of us doing our thing.
After doing a few scentwork trials with Fitz with no photographer, I decided to pick up a camera myself so I could make sure people got the joy of photos with their best friend. Naturally, I named my photo business after him, and now his pawprint is immortalised in my logo too
As I did more sports with Fitz, I branched out into photographing those sports too, and eventually started offering photoshoots as well.
I developed a love and passion for providing people with memories of their best friends, but it wasn't until April 2026 that I truly learnt the value of a photo that captures the heart and personality of your pet.
Fitz was diagnosed with lymphoma after a few months of confusing symptoms and rapid deterioration. We said goodbye only three weeks after he turned four. I was robbed of all the years I thought we had ahead of us, and all the photos I still thought we had time to take.
I don't have any nice photos of him as a puppy, and I have hardly any of us together, because I ended up always being the one behind the camera. It will always be my biggest regret, because four years was never going to be enough time, but I could have had more memories to show for it.
I don't want anyone else to have that regret, and that is what now fuels me to provide you with an experience that will provide you with many fond memories that you can treasure forever. It is nearly inevitable that we will outlive them, but that doesn't mean we have to outlive those memories.
My approach
The number one thing I am always considering with pet photography is the safety and comfort of you and your pets. I want sessions to be relaxed and comfortable, and I adjust based on how you and your pet are feeling. If you have a well trained poser, fantastic - go on and show me all your tricks! If you have a buddy who is a little more sensitive or nervous, easily tired, or has ants in their pants - that's no problem! I want to capture photos that are genuine to your pets personality, so we will always work with what they give us, have a laugh when they're silly, and respect when they say no. If that means we need to take a few play breaks or go for a little walk, that's what we'll do. I deliberately set my sessions to have a good time buffer in case we need to pause or relocate. Ultimately I want you to have lovely images you can treasure and look back on fondly, and I'll work with you both to ensure that can happen.
Because you know your pets better than I do, I also believe in letting you pick your own photos. I've come to learn there are so many special poses or even just a little look in the eye that pet parents know and love, that might not stand out to anyone else. I want you to have your favourite photos, not mine! That being said, if you do find it hard to choose, I am also very happy to narrow selections down for you, or even make the final calls.

Fitz
Fitz was my first dog, and although he had a lot of FOMO, that was just a symptom of how much he loved me. He was a very confident lad who always nailed posing for me and was endlessly patient - although he could get a little sassy about doing a chin down. I always thought his action photos weren't very flattering, as much as I loved the joy, but he absolutely nailed a portrait. Together we scouted out many of the locations I now share with clients. His patience and willingness to please made him the perfect model and because of him I was able to practice and develop my skills.

Dodie
Dodie is my second dog, and she had a bit of a traumatic start to life as she fractured her leg at a very young age. Because of this, she's not as confident and we are sometimes limited by what poses she can do. She requires a lot of patience and understanding to ensure she feels comfortable posing and she's never stressed. Plus, she simply has ants in her pants - she hates sitting still! This does mean she is my little action star, however, as she loves to sprint at the camera. She has taught me how to adapt my ideas to suit the dog - developing my skills in a different, but just as important way than Fitz.
She's also incredibly, incredibly cute - and she knows it!
